AIKI teaches virtual social entrepreneurship education classes for UIC (Center for Literacy)

G.E.D. students from the south and west sides of Chicago learn about how to start digital and virtual social businesses during the pandemic.

The Social Entrepreneurship Education Program (SEEP) is a 30-week program that works adult learners to connect to their entrepreneurship roots and build social business that create impact in the community. The program pushes students to also share this information with their families so that they are working to end generations of socioeconomic divestment.

During the pandemic, classes have gone virtual. Students have been taught about creating blogs, graphic design, and designing websites as new revenue streams that will still be viable in a virtual world.

Students also read a proverb before the start of each class. This helps students process deep concepts before they set goals and create their business models.
